Hi MovieSweeper!
I hope the summer has treated you well and you’re now settling into autumn - the nights might be drawing in and temperatures heading downward, but MovieSweep is ramping right up.
Which actress completes this MovieSweep?
Keanu Reeves → Speed → ______ → Ocean’s 8 → Cate Blanchett
(Not sure how to play? Who is in both Speed and Ocean’s 8? - answer below)
Next week we have the last three days of shooting for MovieSweep: The Movie in London. This project has been a real journey for me with Ted Baybutt. We did the game show evenings of Ripe Tomatoes in 2025 and sweltering days this summer shooting at the legendary Ealing Studios with the incredible Kevin McNally. As you may know, this film is a hilarious London rom-com about movies, gangsters and game shows.
The project suffered some challenges in July and was put on a short hiatus - but the good news is that we're ready to shoot the final scenes on location next week - and an exclusive screening of the finished film is set for December.
One of the things we really need next week though is more extras. Have you ever watched Shaun of the Dead and thought how cool it would have been to be one of those background zombies outside The Winchester? Perhaps you’ve watched Lock Stock thinking it would be fun to be one of the punters caught up in Bacon’s street hustle? Or maybe you've wondered what the audience in The Full Monty really saw in that final shot?
🎥 We're shooting next Monday and Tuesday in Hackney, then Wednesday in Greenwich - and you could be in this film! Just go to moviesweep.com/extras for more info and to sign up. We can't do this without you!
Know a friend or colleague who might want a shot on the big screen? Forward them this message - they can come too!
Thanks for all your support, and keep an eye on your mailbox if you fancy bagging tickets to the screening in December, I can’t wait to see you there!
Paul
Sweep Answer: Sandra Bullock - she starred in both Speed and Ocean’s 8.
