Hello there!
You’re one of the few early subscribers receiving this very first public update from MovieSweep - that makes you very special!
Welcome. And it’s great to have you on board.
My name’s Paul Markham, also known as @MediaTechPaul, and I’m going to be writing your MovieSweep updates. In a world of corporate noise and AI slop I want you to know this email update will be written by a real person with a passion for Media and Film.
In the world of MovieSweep I’m a Technical Consultant. For the movie I’m one of several Producers supporting a larger crew supporting director and founder Ted Byron Baybutt. I’m also coordinating extras at Ealing Studios, so if that’s you I’ll be seeing you this week.
👉We need more extras at Ealing this week, including additionally on Thursday 25th June. If you’re able to join us enter your details at moviesweep.com/extras, or if you’re already signed up for other days just reply directly to me by email.

🎬 Two weeks ago we called "action" on MovieSweep: The Movie.
Since then, cast and crew have been filming across multiple locations as we bring the world of MovieSweep to life. What began as a script and a vision is now becoming a real feature film, one scene at a time.
The last fortnight has been a whirlwind of long days, location moves, camera setups, lighting rigs, practical challenges and the occasional dose of movie magic. Independent filmmaking is never easy, but the energy on set has been incredible.
MovieSweep tells the story of a struggling film fanatic who risks everything to launch the ultimate movie-themed quiz show. It's a story about ambition, obsession, friendship and the power of cinema itself. In many ways, it's a love letter to film fans.
Next Stop: Ealing Studios

We did one day at the legendary Ealing Studios last week, but this coming week marks one of the biggest milestones of the production. We'll be filming some climactic sequences at Ealing, one of the most iconic filmmaking locations in the world and a place with deep roots in British cinema history.
These scenes represent the culmination of everything the cast and crew have been building towards. Contestants, audiences, lights, cameras, tension and drama - the heart of MovieSweep finally comes together.
If you’re signed up as an extra for those days we look forward to seeing you on set - if you’d like to join us as an extra there’s still a chance - just enter your details at moviesweep.com/extras.
More Than A Film
MovieSweep began as an idea to celebrate film culture in a new way.
The feature film is part a much larger vision that combines storytelling, participation, gaming and audience rewards into a connected entertainment experience. The film introduces the world and the characters, but it's only the beginning.
We’re totally independent. This isn’t a big media project. It’s not VC-backed. There’s no major network involved. The fact that it’s happening at all is a miracle, and entirely down to Ted, his passion in the project, and those who’ve believed in his vision. We really want to do something different here, and there are so many exciting things to come, but we can’t do it without the support of people like you. So thanks for being there.
As our strapline says:
It's time to change the game.
Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the project so far - cast, crew, extras, partners, investors, supporters and the growing MovieSweep community.
We'll be sharing more behind-the-scenes updates, photographs and production news as filming continues.
The cameras are rolling.
And we're only just getting started.
Paul and The MovieSweep Team
